Expert team Manager Description:The Acoustic Expert is responsible for the development of our products in its field of expertise, which Acoustic: mainly duct acoustic (noise propagated from the engine through the exhaust system) but also structural acoustic (vibration) and aeroacoustic. He/she carries on the various simulations, defines the prototypes to be made, follow-up the measurements of the system he/she defined, to later provide the best solution to our Product Design Leader. The main missions of the role are to: ▪
Plan and perform standard simulations : Backpressure , Acoustic Calculation using our in-house 1D frequency domain code, Acoustic Calculation with time domain tools like Wave and/or Gt-Power. ▪
Interact with the others teams (CAD, durability, …) to create a robust product by achieving the best trade-off between the various constraints ▪
Analyse simulation and tests results: Interact with Testing team to correlate the prediction models as well as identify and solve NVH issues ▪
Collaborate with other experts
on our simulation tools,Matlab/Scilab/others programming languages ▪
Propose solutions based on testing and prediction results ▪
Coordinate prototype builds for measurements ▪
Participate in the Development Validation Plan (DVP) with Product Engineer ▪
Member of the Acoustic Technical network Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have/be: ▪
Speak/Write Chinese & English fluently. French/German/Japanese a plus for long term development. ▪
Master of Science or preferably PhD in Acoustics, ideally with a strong emphasis on Duct Acoustic/ Transfert Matrix ▪
Internship in a research lab (better: 2/3 years of pure or applied research) ▪
Papers published by recognized organizations would be a plus. ▪
Experience with a simulation code, ideally Gt-Power or Wave ▪
Strong knowledge in linear acoustic modelling ▪
Knowledge of programming languages, interpreted or not. Matlab/Scilab & Pascal a plus. ▪
Ability to solve problems on your own as well as work in a team ▪
Strong attention to details and accuracy. Good knowledge of scientific methods and tools. ▪
Team player with strong communication skills & international mind set The ideal candidate would also: ▪
Have a personnal hobby he/she is passionnate about ▪
